Tiny Hands, Big Milestones.
As licensed Speech-Language and Occupational Therapists and certified breastfeeding specialists, we combine advanced clinical training in feeding and early childhood development with genuine compassion and care.
Guiding You to Wellness
Nest & Nourish was born from a deep calling to support families during one of the most intimate and foundational experiences of early childhood: feeding.
Family Support
As pediatric Speech and Occupational therapists, Sheridan and Colleen witnessed a recurring gap—families struggling with feeding challenges, often without the resources or support they needed. They saw that behavioral-based eating therapy was not always effective or sustainable outside the clinic for many families.
Where Wellness Begins: Our Story
We believe feeding is far more than nutrition. It’s connection, comfort, and communication. It’s the way families bond, nurture, and grow together. When feeding becomes difficult, it can ripple into every corner of daily life—and we’re here to help protect that relationship from the very beginning.
At Nest & Nourish, we don’t just treat symptoms—we nurture relationships. Because every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and celebrated at the table. And every parent and caregiver needs to feel heard and empowered to easily apply the skills they learn in therapy in their everyday lives.
Our Founders
Nurturing developmental skills through evidence-based pediatric therapy.
Sheridan Simeck, Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist & Certified Breastfeeding Specialist
Sheridan is a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) with advanced training in feeding therapy, lactation support, and early speech and language development. She is a certified breastfeeding specialist (CBS) and is working toward her international board certified lactation consultant certification (IBCLC). She has worked with infants, toddlers, and young children for over 8 years, helping families navigate feeding challenges, support communication, and build strong foundations for growth.
A highly requested therapist, Sheridan has worked in a variety of settings, including early intervention, outpatient pediatric clinics, pediatrician offices, home health, and public and private school systems.
Her approach is family-centered and is rooted in compassion and connection. She believes that nurturing mothers is just as important as supporting babies. She focuses on empowering families with practical tools, encouragement, and confidence they need to support their child’s development. Whether it’s guiding a new mom through feeding challenges or helping a little one find their voice, Sheridan, creates a safe and supportive space for growth.
As a mother herself, she understands the joys and challenges of these early years and brings both professional expertise and heartfelt empathy to every visit. She is passionate about creating a supportive space where families feel heard, encouraged, and cared for.
“Colleen & I had been working together working primarily with the birth to three age group and found how much our families benefited from a ‘team’ approach through our co-treats. Colleen addressed the motor and sensory needs of the patient, and I addressed the communication and oral motor feeding needs. We also loved being in the family’s natural environment to show them how they could do “what we do” at home with our guidance. I’m excited to bring this approach to our clients and to be able to offer an alternative to months’ long waiting lists and rigid clinic-based therapy.”
Colleen Snead - Owner, Occupational Therapist & Certified Breastfeeding Specialist
Colleen is an occupational therapist and certified breastfeeding specialist with training in sensory-motor feeding strategies. A proud graduate of James Madison University, she brings both clinical expertise and a nurturing spirit to her work with infants and young children.
Colleen has experience working in pediatric outpatient and inpatient settings as well as early intervention. She has helped children and caregivers navigate feeding challenges beginning from birth to toddlerhood, mental health, and achieving crucial developmental skills to participate fully in daily life.
Known for her gentle, playful approach, Colleen creates a safe and joyful space where families feel supported and empowered. She finds deep fulfillment in helping children build confidence and connection through feeding and developmental milestones.
Colleen is a mother of three herself and appreciates the importance of nurturing a child’s development from the very beginning. She understands the beautiful chaos of motherhood and the value of a trusted support system.
“As a mother myself, I personally understand the need to feel supported and empowered through all the phases of feeding – breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, transitioning to solids. We founded Nest & Nourish to help create happy and healthy eaters from the start and to offer support to families from like-minded parents who listen to your struggles, commiserate in the hardships of parenthood, and provide thoughtful resources that help families nourish their children.”
